Terri Dill-Simpson
Terri was born and raised in the
Pacific Northwest, graduating from Lewis and Clark College with a degree in art
education. After a long career in law enforcement and safety, she spent the
last few years concentrating on her love of painting. Terri was an instructor in
her own private studio as well as at the North East Community Center in the
Hollywood district of Portland for eight years. Many of her
paintings have been turned into greeting cards, calendars and fine art
prints. She has been featured in the tabletop hardbound book
“Pacific Northwest Artists.”
Terri is currently a member of the Watercolor
Society of Oregon, the Oregon Society of Artists, Dry Canyon Artists of Central Oregon, the Sisters Art Association and the Lake Area Artists . She is a former member of Buffalo Grass Society of Artists and Color Fusion. She has exhibited her
work at the Belinki Gallery, W’East Book and Gallery (Welches), the gift shop
at the Oregon Zoo and numerous shows in various Oregon locales.
Terri had regular viewings of her
work at the Audubon Wild Arts show, The Buffalo Grass Show, the Wine and Arts
Festival of Welches, The Astoria Crab and Wine Festival, The Heritage House
Holiday Festival and the Fine Arts Festival of Creativity for Calvin
Presbyterian Church of Tigard, Lake Area Artists at the Lakewood Theater and
most recently Eagle Crest Art on the River at Eagle Crest Resort. Her work has
been purchased by clients from all over the country and outside its’
boundaries.
A project she was very proud of
starting and maintaining was the Primate Gallery at the Oregon Zoo for 10
years. It featured local artists with a theme of animals and birds of all
species. Her classes at the NE Community were featured at a monthly showing for
her students at the Center. She was instrumental in organizing and
participating many fine art and arts and craft shows in Portland as well as
Salem over the years. Since her move to central Oregon, you can expect to see
the same there.
Terri currently lives and paints in Central Oregon near Redmond. In Central Oregon, Terri's greeting cards are carried at Herringbone Books in Redmond and Hood Avenue Art Gallery in Sisters. As a member of the Sisters Art Association, Terri has participated in the annual SAA RT Studio Tour.
NOTE ABOUT PORTRAITS: Pet portraits
